The Young Gallery is a free art museum governed by the Young & Creasey Gallery Trust. It is an independent charitable Trust with the Charity Number 1186571. Wiltshire Council is the sole trustee of the Young & Creasey Gallery Trust.

All donations go towards funding our work, helping us to preserve and display our collection of over 4000 objects, run our exhibition programme, and engage with the local community. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.

Donating objects

As an accredited museum, the Young Gallery can only accept donations that adhere to our Collection Development Policy. If you have an item you would like to donate to the Young Gallery please email YoungGallery@wiltshire.gov.uk (opens new window) with the following information:

• Your name and contact details
• A description or list of the items you would like to donate
• Information about the items that helps us understand its importance
• Details of how you came to own the items
• Photographs of the items

Potential donations will be initially assessed by the Curator. Those which adhere to the Collection Developmet Policy will then be discussed by the Management Committee. Successful donors will be contacted to arrange delivery and completion of paperwork for our records. Once acquired, items become part of the Young Gallery's permanent collection. Please note, not all donations can be displayed.  

Please do not send or deliver potential donations directly to the Young Gallery. Staff are not available to take receipt of items without prior notice. If we cannot return items they will be held for six months and may be disposed of if not claimed.
